Ante & Post Natal Pilates

Designed to teach students Reformer-based exercises and provide them with the tools to aid exercise selection for this population using the Pilates Reformer.

This is a course designed by Sarah Norris, Pilates Master Trainer, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and passionate women’s health presenter. Exercise in the ante and post natal period will be revised, common ante and postnatal presentations explored, and the course has a huge practical focus to provide you with the knowledge and skillset to use immediately.

For those who have completed Reformer training with APPI or another recognised provider.

 

Course Overview

– Revision of exercise in the pregnancy and postnatal period
– Pelvic floor, Diastasis Recti, Prolapse, Post C-Section and Pelvic Pain considerations – we got this covered!
– The reformer as an exercise choice for the pregnant and postnatal population.
– Exercise options and ideas to fuel your practice with considerations and sound reasoning with the most up to date evidence

– Props to use on the reformer to assist movement
– Practical taught classes, LIVE demonstrations, online group work and feedback all included on this career changing 2 day course.

Further Information

In order to attend this course you must have completed APPI Reformer Level 1 or a 2 day more Pilates Matwork Reformer Course from a recognised Pilates provider.

 

About course creator, Sarah Norris

Sarah Norris, Is a Musculoskeletal & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She is also an APPI Master Trainer, presenter, co-founder of The Physiotherapy Centre with leading clinics and studios in the North West, and founder of ‘The Natal Project’.

Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001 from The University of Liverpool and qualified as a Pilates teacher at the same time. Her Pilates career naturally led her into the world of women’s health. She is passionate and a keen advocate of setting up, delivering and promoting health care, educational and fitness services for women.
